Members are expected to share their ideas, skills and experience to be part of a vibrant and engaged community, with the education of young people from low-income and marginalised communities at its heart. There is also a formal governance role for members, to nominate and elect the Trustees and Officers of the Educational Opportunity Foundation.
Why become a Member?
Being a member gives the opportunity to engage with and learn from a community of interest by sharing views and experiences. Members join like-minded individuals who have a passion to help improve the educational opportunities of young people in the UK and across the world. Members have access to the online Educational Opportunity Foundation Forum, receive newsletters three times a year and are invited to our annual Grants Workshop and Annual General Meeting.
Members have the opportunity to bring resolutions to the AGM, to help drive the direction, strategy and operation of the Foundation and can also stand to be a Trustee. Past AGM minutes are in the Resources section of the Forum, which Members can access here.
Members can join the online Educational Opportunity Foundation Forum to ask for advice, share resources and learning with other Members and Grant Partners.

We welcome applicants with the passion to offer their skills and time to help young people succeed. Our Membership is predominantly UK based due to our governance structure and the practicality of participating in our activities, however individuals who are not based in the UK but have a direct link to our Grant Partners are welcome to apply.
