PACT

The British & Foreign School Society (BFSS) is a grant giving organisation that offers funding for education projects in the UK and around the world.

We fund International projects which improve access, quality and sustainability of education in marginalised and low-income communities, UK projects which improve educational outcomes and life chances for Young Carers and Care Experienced Young People, and projects to address the specific challenges that children and young people who have been displaced by conflict face in accessing quality education.

Vision, Values and Mission

All our work is driven by our vision of educational opportunity for all.

The story of BFSS

Our members and the charities we fund are keeping our founders vision alive, with innovative projects to maximise educational opportunity for all.

Our team

The Society also has a President (Rt Hon David Lammy MP) and a Vice-President (Professor John Furlong). And a governing body, with a board of Trustees who have a wealth of experience from across education and international development. Our Trustees are known as the Council of the Society, and there are two subsidiary committees, the Investments Committee and the Grants Committee.
